Founded in 2020 by agricultural ecologist Dr. Sana Malik and social entrepreneur Farhan Ali, GreenFields began with a simple mission: to revive soil health and community wellness through truly organic farming. Our journey started on a 5-acre pilot plot in the fertile outskirts of Faisalabad, where we implemented regenerative practices—cover cropping, compost enrichment, and integrated pest management—to restore soil vitality degraded by decades of chemical use. Inspired by ancient Indus-Valley crop rotations and modern permaculture principles, we partnered with fifteen smallholder farms across Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, providing training, micro-loans, and access to premium markets.
By 2022, GreenFields had certified over 200 hectares under USDA Organic and Pakistan Organic standards, uniting farmers in a cooperative that shares resources, mechanization services, and distribution logistics. We established a packhouse in Lahore equipped with cold-chain storage, nondestructive sorting lines, and sustainable packaging materials—minimizing post-harvest losses and plastic waste. Our digital platform connects urban consumers with real-time farm updates: photos of fields at each growth stage, weekly harvest calendars, and soil-health metrics measured by in-field sensors.
Education is at our core: the GreenFields Academy offers bilingual (English/Urdu) webinars, farm-visit tours, and DIY compost tutorials that demystify organic methods for novice gardeners and seasoned growers alike. We also reinvest 10 % of profits into community programs—school-garden installations, women’s agro-entrepreneurship cohorts, and water-harvesting infrastructure in drought-prone districts.
Today, GreenFields delivers farm-fresh baskets to homes and cafés throughout Pakistan’s major cities and emerging towns, while our wholesale division supplies hotels and grocery chains seeking certified-organic ingredients. We continue expanding our grower network and product range—soy, pulses, herbs, and eco-textiles—keeping quality, transparency, and environmental stewardship at the heart of every endeavor.
